WEEKEND GETAWAYS

Cost includes accommodation, airport transfers, breakfast lunch and dinner every day, transfers within the town, sat night BBQ, Tea, coffee and soft drinks, staff, guides, land fees, fishing gear, skin diving gear, dive chamber fees, reef fees, boat hire and fuel. Price does not include alcohol.
SCUBA Diving trip price includes all of the above and scuba equipment hire.
Scuba can be arranged for non diving trips but will incur an equipment hire charge of K100 per diver. Please give us prior notice if you wish to dive and what equipment you will need.
Non divers on dive trips are more than welcome as there is plenty to see and do. Non divers will be accommodated for in every way possible with trekking, bird watching, skin diving etc.
all equipment is used on a lose replace basis.

Fly in Friday afternoon to Alotau. We meet you at the airport and run you back to the hotel where you can settle in. Jump on board “LIA” for a champagne sunset cruise and have dinner at the hotel.
Saturday morning we head out to cruise the bay on board LIA. We cruise the bay to Waga Waga, anchored off a ship wreck, you can jump over board for a skin dive and swim. Spend the morning in the local Village before a short drive up the hill to the treetops lodge.
Here we have a light morning tea followed by a walk to the local waterfall and natural spring. Back down to the lodge for a late lunch overlooking the bay and the rainforest then a walk back down to the coast to meet the boat and troll for fish on the way back to theHotel. BBQ at the Hotel is waiting for you where we decide onwhat to do tomorrow. Sunday, Up early and spend the day cruising to wherever you like around the bay.

Back to the hotel for dinner at the restaurant and a beer.

ISLAND DIVING 3 NIGHT WEEKEND ESCAPE

Fly in Friday afternoon to Alotau. We meet you at the airport and run you back to the hotel where
you can settle in. Jump on board “LIA” for a champagne sunset cruise and have dinner at the hotel. Over dinner
we discuss the plan for the weekend. Below is a good example of an itinerary.
Saturday, up early and away. We have breakfast and
coffee on board as we head towards the first dive of the day, a dive on a deep water reef patch. Underway again we head to our next dive, a Hudson bomber airplane from WWII. Then it’s off to our “bush Camp” set up on a tropical island. Very comfortable Tents and good beds await you as well as
good meals. Settle in, wander the island or head in for another dive at any of the 15 spectacular dive sites around the island. Night dives on the local reef is a must, and then settle in for some food and a chat over a bottle of wine.
Sunday morning. Wake as early as you like and do a couple of
dives at the local reefs. Then back on board LIA for a slow cruise back to town. Lunch is at an island beach on the way, a hot shower back at the hotel and then dinner and beers at the bar at before a good night’s sleep.
Monday, fly out.

RAIN FOREST 3 NIGHT GETAWAY

Fly in Friday afternoon to Alotau. We meet you at the airport and run you back to the hotel where
you can settle in, grab a line and head out in the bay for a quick fish at sunset.
Saturday morning we jump into the cars and head over the mountains into the awesome Mullins harbor. A totally untapped resource of mangrove forest that leads to a beautiful deep bay backing against rainforest covered mountains.
Spend your time in a small banana boat or punt or, if you are game, fishing kayak, hunting for the legendary black
bass and barramundi. Head out into the bay and try your luck for the bigger fish hunting the edges of the forest. Check the pots and settle in at the local guest house for a feast of mud crabs and a cold beer.
Do you stay out fishing or get some sleep and try again in the morning? Spend Sunday in the area for more fishing or a hike, then its back to the hotel for a cold beer and to cook some of the fish for dinner.
